Utilities are routed to their proper locations before base work starts. After excavation and site prep, we build hardscape foundations, install concrete footers for vertical structures, prepare road base for flatwork, and complete all hardscape structures.
Irrigation adjustments are made to ensure proper coverage, weed fabric is installed when applicable, with rock or mulch over the top to finish off the plantings bed. Sod is installed last to minimize foot traffic.
We begin by demoing existing conditions and properly grading the site to ensure drainage. Excavation is completed for grading, hardscape foundations, and all necessary trenches for irrigation, electrical, and plumbing before any construction begins.
Once hardscapes are complete, planting areas are outlined and soil is prepared with planters mix. Irrigation infrastructure is routed to match sod footprints and plant locations followed by plant installation.
We review the irrigation system to ensure proper coverage, program the controller, complete final cleanup, and conduct a walkthrough with the client. Any punch list items are addressed to ensure the project is completed to our standards.

When installed correctly, hardscape features are built to last for many years with minimal maintenance. We use properly compacted road base, concrete footers for vertical structures, and materials designed to handle Colorado’s freeze–thaw cycles. Interlocking pavers and stone systems are designed to move slightly with the soil, which helps prevent cracking and shifting over time.
Maintenance is minimal. For paver and flagstone patios, polymeric sand is used between joints to lock pavers in place and help prevent weeds and ants. Over time, you may need to refresh the sand in small areas. Occasional cleaning and keeping debris off the surface will help maintain appearance and longevity.
Yes. Pergolas and arbors are built using rough sawn cedar lumber and set with posts in concrete caissons designed to withstand high winds and heavy snow loads. Retaining walls include proper base preparation and built-in drainage systems to maintain structural integrity and prevent water pressure behind the wall.
Planting and xeriscaping are designed with a low-maintenance approach. We select plant material suited to Colorado’s climate and provide a post-installation care checklist to help you maintain your landscape. Xeriscaping typically requires less upkeep than a traditional lawn and uses significantly less water through efficient drip irrigation systems.
Yes. We install, program, and test all irrigation systems as part of the project. Before closeout, we ensure proper coverage, program the controller, and walk you through how to use the system so you can confidently manage it. Seasonal blowouts are recommended and should be done professionally at the end of each growing season.
